



PC Tablet Design – Freescale
The Freescale is computer chips for various mobile devices and it come up their$ 200 smartbook tablet at CES, it is made by Texas-based. It will run Android and Linux. Freescale supplies the chip that powers the Kindle as well as 70% of the chips in all eBook readers. Freescale is currently betting on a summer 2010 release for products based on the reference design.

Resolution : 1024 X 600, and will run on an ARM Cortex- A8 processor.
Weight : about 13 ounces and include 512 MB of RAM, 4-64 GB in storage as well as USB ports and a slot for a 3G SIM card

Connection : WiFi, Bluetooth, Touch screen and support for a docking station that includes a keyboard.
Apps : Web berowser, a media center, PDF and image viewers, a mail client, a RSS reader, an office suite, and various widgets to interact with Twitter, Facebook, and Flicker.
Additional : 3-axis accelerometer and ambient light sensor
This machine would be ideal as an ultra mobile browsing/emailing, video/music playing device at home or when traveling. The 7″ screen may be too small for some but it definitely makes the machine more portable.
